10-Meter Jump

We were all very excited to share our stories of how we spent our holiday break when we got back to school in January. One fabulous story that we heard was of a friend braving a 10-meter jump off a cliff in CEBU! This was the image of the cliff that he shared with the class:
This got us all wondering how long 10 meters actually is... We determined that if we put 10 meter sticks together, we could have a visual representation of the distance of his jump. A few friends kindly put the meter sticks together on the ground floor, while the rest of the class observed from one floor up. As we reflected on this exercise we noticed that our thinking changed, as most of us initially thought that 10 meters was much longer than it is in actuality.
